DeSung D-SWITCH, one of the globally trusted high-quality electrical switch brands, announced today the launch of its new PBM series sealed waterproof button switch. The product has passed TUV: IP68 waterproof testing and is suitable for applications in more demanding environments, such as control handles, engineering/off-road vehicle panels, industrial instruments, elevator and conveyor controls。
By using waterproof and dustproof switches, there is no longer a need to worry about malfunctions. In harsh environments, only protecting the controller cannot completely prevent switch failures. For example, in special vehicles such as garbage collection vehicles, the controller is located outside the vehicle so that operators can operate from outside the vehicle. The exterior of the vehicle is often exposed to wind and rain, especially for garbage collection vehicles that may be covered in sand and dust. Therefore, waterproof and dustproof measures need to be taken to prevent switch failures. The general practice is to install a switch protective cover to protect the switch from wind, rain, and dust. However, once the protective cover deteriorates, rainwater and dust will invade, causing the switch to malfunction. And if the switch malfunctions during the operation, it may cause a significant delay in the operation time. Considering the practical needs of users, it is necessary to take measures to effectively prevent switch failures。
The switch is made of black aluminum alloy shell, with built-in silicone rubber seals and a protection level of TUV: IP68. It is very suitable for harsh environments and strong flushing applications, or any place that may be exposed to dust, water, or other harmful substances. The PBM series switches have undergone vibration (10 to 500Hz) testing and impact (up to 50g) testing, with a rated mechanical life of up to 500000 cycles. Its micro motion characteristics provide positive tactile feedback, while operating force as low as 3N can reduce operator fatigue. This switch is designed specifically for front panel installation, with a threaded body and comes standard with nut washers. The PBM series switches offer various button types and colors, providing designers with greater flexibility. Silver contacts can handle resistive currents up to 5A, and can also be designed with gold-plated silver contacts for low current applications as low as 10mA. Optional circuits include instantaneous SPST NC, SPST NO, and SPDT - all with double break design。
